I'm happy to announce that I find myself inundated with GORGEOUS ponies. So I'm going to have a SPECIAL EVENT for my eBay auctions. On September 1st, lasting for a week or until they are all gone, I'll be auctioning my whole current selection of beautiful G3 Pegasus Ponies! For my fans and viewers I have a sneak peek of the ponies that will be going up for auction! Get your eBay accounts ready!
SCARCE Royal Rose Quantity 1
SCARCE Silver Glow Quantity 2
SCARCE Pearly Pie Quantity 1
One MIB Starsong w/ DVD One Loose Starsong (without name on leg)
I was inspired recently to make a custom pony for a friend, using an original G3 blank from Hasbro Toy Shoppe. It's technically my third attempt, I still haven't finished my second (A very elaborate design) and my first was mostly a test. But I've discovered something awesome that I must share. After trying a half dozen different paints, I have to conclude that the BEST paints to use have to be model paints, enamel based. They smell like nail polish and can only be cleaned with paint thinner or acetone. They can be mixed together, and for fine details and bright colors they can't be beat. I'm REALLY excited about the Pony I'm making. I look forward to putting up a whole project page when it's finished.
Additionally, if anyone has a source for getting good quality enamels in bright (girly) pony colors. I'd love to be able to have more colors to play with!
So we're in mid August, schools are starting. Ponies are being sold by college students clearing out their closets, and I have LOTS of new fun things to sell! A big acquisition from a thrift shop got me a HUGE pile of Disney Build A Pony Outfits. So I'm piecing together sets to sell separately. HERE'S A SECRET for my webviewers. If you buy a pony and want an outfit to be shipped with it, I'll apply a discount. This applies to the loose outfits, not the pony+outfit sets that exist. Just message me after the auction but BEFORE you pay and I'll apply a discount of at LEAST 10%.
TACO BUENO! Never heard of it? Neither had I, until I came across one of their EXTREMELY rare My Little Pony meal toys. Pinkie Pie! In a new pose! She's in awesome condition, and I may not rush to sell her until I have a buyer because I think she's cute. I also have a BRAND NEW OOB Rainbow Dash of the 3.5 Redesign. (they're the ones that look more 'Littlest Pet Shop' or giant Ponyville if you prefer) Her hair is in the original plastic clips and there isn't a mark on her. She'll be up for sale shortly.
Next up to auction is a rare and unusual (for me) to sell, G1 VINTAGE September Birth-Flower (Mail-away) pony. The bag is not sealed because The original owner checked to see what month it was, but it's in the original bag, with the original tag, untouched. September birthdays are coming... What a lovely gift this could be!
So I've all that, PLUS boxes of new ponies. Including PEGASUS Ponies. You know you want them! But seriously, before I start sounding too much like a used car dealer, if you are a TRADER look at my inventory and send me a note on my contact form. I am looking for certain ponies in my collection. We can help each other out! Finally, I have HOARDS of McDonalds My Little Pony toys. I watched one too many Twilight zone episodes and I'm beginning to fear that the little neglected happy meal toys will come to life and lay siege to me in my sleep like Gulliver. If you want them, let me know, I'll be selling them in sets.
And in a final not of personal Victory. I have Jazz Matazz and she is LOVELY! I have SUCH a weakness for ponies with green in their hair. If you have any questions, requests, or confusion with the website (or if you are reading this and merely want to let me know you exist) comments are welcome and appreciated. Thanks! Liz
so I'm glad to at least be getting monthly updates on the blog portion. I do hope to blog about more than JUST this site and expand to blogging about Ponies in general. currently however Ebay has been keeping me VERY BUSY! Thank you to all my customers! My stock has been selling fast, and while that's a GOOD thing for me, it's a bad thing for the site as I have to scramble to keep the site current. My general policy is I leave a pony in the inventory marked as SOLD for at least a week to let you know that it's gone. I'm trying to get my ponies descriptions and pictures up as soon as I have details, but honestly if I have a picture I may wind up letting it hit ebay first. Reassurances: I place items for sale on ebay with 7 days to bid. If it disappears sooner, that's because someone chose 'buy it now' if you want to be SURE it doesn't get away, Bid, or buy it now, otherwise a good pony goes fast. This week (and possibly the rest of this month) I am selling a BAIT lot. My usual buyer is taking a break from her custom ponies (on maternity leave) so I have some GREAT body/ BAD hair ponies up for grabs. Take a peek. VARIOUS PROMOTIONS! In an effort to keep my ebay from becoming stale, I have been offering my auctions in a variety of formats. 99 cent sales start at 99 cents. they ALWAYS have 5$ shipping, why? Because I need to earn something from the sale too. FREE SHIPPING sales. These usually run 5.99 and up. Prices are based on a fair value per pony. And standard auctions, priced between 1.99-4.99 with 3.00$ shipping. If you notice, EVERY sale ends at roughly the same amount. I change it up to appeal to people who search different ways, or simply get attracted to one style or the other. Now, I set my prices where I CAN AFFORD to set them. by that I mean if I sell them for less, I will start LOSING money. Maybe if I try to enter the 'big leagues' and sell even MORE stock per months, my costs might actually go UP to pay for my expansion. It's a slippery slope to be a business person on your own. If I buy TOO much stock, I lose money. If I get greedy and set my prices to high, I lose money from stock not moving. And if I set my prices to low, I lose both stock AND profits. Are there cheaper dealers out there? I'm sure there might be. Ebay is vast and always changing. I'll even shop my competition to fill gaps in my private collection. BUT I'm not just some garage sale dealer, who pulls ponies from a bin and sells them off. I make sure to represent a quality product. I wash the ponies by hand, make sure the hair is styled to set them in the best look, hunt down potential matching accessories, take multiple photos, and ship them carefully. I love my ponies. I like to think my customers do too. Ultimately my goal here is to provide you with a product you'll be proud to own, or even give away, knowing the quality is something you can trust.
